Sorry I had to leave, came back and worked on it last night and this morning, just seeing your responses now. Because not expensive and could return some of it. I saved some time by testing with safety and key switches as well as a meter. There is power to the green power wire at the key as well as to both safety switches all when turned to the start position. I think my problem May be that I simply don't know how to wire that relay back up.

Fixed. It was the unused black wire. Thank you all. fyi I got in my car which was the next project sitting waiting while I rode my motorcycle for parts runs etc. Planned was just door locks and shocks but the manual transmission which was perfect up until this moment offered me first and second only no 3, 4, 5 or reverse and the saga continues.
