Now for a new question. . .

I’ve spent 20mins on the Google Machine, and cannot find the answer. I can find the width in centimeters and inches, the weight, but NO capacity.

What is the capacity of the bucket on my MX5400? 1/4 yard? 1/2 yard? I give up.

Thanks a bunch.

1. Fill it up with water.
2. Pour or siphon the water into 55 gallon drums or any other known quantity container until you have emptied the bucket.
3. Divide the gallons that the bucket held by 202, that's the cubic yards.

Depends on which bucket you have, here is a list for an earlier model, but the buckets should be the same.

Two different numbers - struck vs heaped. About 1/3 yard for heaped.

Do you have the loader manual? It will have the info in it, what bucket model do you have?

O-Tay. . . Great Info. Thanks a bunch. I’ve got to move a bunch of dirt. I’m gonna rent a small dump truck that says 2.5 to 3 yard capacity. So I needed to know for that.

And. . . What a novel idea. Look at the Owner‘s Manual. Duh! ! ! Ya know, I’m not an Aggie, but my dad was, so m gonna chalk it up to that🤣🤣🤣. I sure coulda saved a lot of time.

Thanks Folks. . .

jezreel - you are certainly not alone on that Owner's Manual situation.

I used a label maker and put capacities on the FEL and BH buckets. My old mind can’t forget them now. I also have weights on ea. and attachments.
