Also wanted to ask if there are any plans for a backhoe mounted hitch receiver for moving trailers around the yard?

Hey guys. Got a one hour break from the work today so I just did another mod. 75% Kubota and 25% me. I'll post in an hour :D

That's the spirit! Can't wait to see what you did!

If I was still in R & D... we would give you the merchandise and turn you loose.

Almost like some of the sponsored auto race teams.

Many years ago, back in the 60's, my uncle was sponsored by Oldsmobile and he had access to their little 215 ci Aluminum Block V8 and all the goodies... carbs, manifolds, ultra high compression heads and forged cranks...

Nice that Kubota has acknowledge your accomplishments and that of the Mrs. at the Dealer level!!!

Thank you sir for your vote of confidence. That would be a very cool job to have for sure

Chipper... do you see any need for the hydraulic feed option with your wallenstein?

For me personally no but if we had larger trees I would. My wife and I got about 6 hours on the chipper now and even putting green trees through it, it haven't plugged and its pretty good as it is with out the hydraulic feed. I'm also very happy I chose the chipper/shredder combo as well. We chipped this much (see photo) in 30 minutes. Now we'll use the chips tomorrow around our shrubs.

No.That's something I don't need because we have our old Toyota fork lift that I restored a few years ago. Its got the hole in the fork to install a ball and we've towed some pretty big boats with it plus it turns so sharp.

No stray smartcars hanging around tonight to chip up?

Aaron Z

No not then but there's a Jag here I wish would fit in it ;)

What Paul gets done in an hour takes me a month to do.

Hey Matt. Do you sleep? 3:21 AM you posted :confused2:

This is a poor place to be if you need to take a break. Worked in the shop all day rebuilding a hay grabber that came in destroyed. It was on a big Cat loader when something went wrong with its hydraulics and tore up everything on the grabber. Parts were bent up, cracked off and some just plain wore out so I didn't stop much yesterday to get that ready for them. Between the gouging, machining, fabricating and welding it was a pretty big job. As I'd leave the lathe wifey would move in and clean it up then I'd leave the mill and she'd do the same there. We get a lot done working together like that.

Got in for supper at 6:00. 6:30 wifey and I were out chipping again and worked until dark. We don't see to many visitors in the evenings. They're afraid we'll put them to work

Here's a few more photos to keep the boredom going. Sorry about the quality on some of them. They were taken with the phone.

Paul- at some point, I was about to put some fresh wood chips down around shrubs, and I was told that they would do something undesirable, like suck the nitrogen out of the soil as they decompose... but I am not much of a gardener. Just saying you might want to check it out? Maybe it makes no difference. Looks like you two are having fun playing with your new toys!

Man I'm not much of a gardener either but I've adding chips and mulch to shrubs for 25 years. I'll snap a photo of a couple of shrubs I have here later on today. They are Hugh. That being said I scanned a copy of the brochure we got from Wallenstein. Interesting read if it is fact. I like these kind of posts. Hopefully we learn something from them. Thanks buddy.

That 3:21 AM post is server time, I probably posted it around 11:21 PM or 12:21 AM my time.

Good grief, a 70's XJS Jag! How has it survived rusting away in your climate?
