It's a sad sign of the times when Yanks wave the flag for a foreign
company that sells mostly imported product .

A foreign company with thousands of US based employee's, 4 distrbiton centers, and 3 factories that actually build stuff here and export it to the UK/AUS. Kubota does more for the US economey and citizens than many "US" based companies do. In todays business world, your point is not so simple any more.

Neil , I'm aware of the same facts as you and I stand by what I say .
How many imported parts in your BX and and B ; nearly all the valuable
ones ? How many L , M , MX and KX etc manufactured in the US ?
Oh , it certainly isn't as simple as it was , but it's nearly all imported
and base value manufacturing of metal sheet at the local level.
You and I can both read the Company info and watch the videos.
But if this all makes you happy and gives you a warm glow and
a personal deep pocket , then good for you . :)

In a global economy the name of a company or where its corporate headquarters is doesn't mean too much.

John Deere has factories in other countries, Chevrolet truck are made in Mexico, Polaris has moved production to Mexico and chances are you eat ice cream or use soap products from Unilever, a foreign company.

Most Law Enforcement carry an Austrian handgun, the M240 and M249 used by the US military is made by Fabrique Nationale d'Herstal of Belgium and of course there is the Beretta and Sig handguns used by US forces.

The examples just go on.

It's endless ,TripleR.

I lament the demise of US industry and containing the trade-imbalance.
Back in the eighties when I lived in New Jersey , many US Brand products
that I purchased ( think ; RCA TV , Fender Amps , many cars and SUV ,
JD , Maytag , many power tools , pharmaceuticals ( my game :D )
........... it goes on for ever ) were produced by us in the US. Now we all realise that the US has maintained foreign factory production in Canada and later ,Mexico for many years , but it was generally known to be non-US product .
Then in the nineties the insidious trait of deceptive corporate practice
began to manifest . My cousin visited Fender Musical Instruments factory
in Mexico ( he had a guitar shop at the time ) and was shocked to see
all the Amps being labelled Made in USA , even though it was ALL made
in that factory . Even the box was Mexican . Now , Fender were
prosectuted and now state it to be Made in Mexico . It's a slippery slope
and now very , very difficult to tell where something is from .
There's no return , and it will eventually get ugly . God help us all .

I hope D'Addario and DiMarzio stay in NYC . My beloved Guide factory have gone forever :=(

I work in the aerospace industry and to label something made in the USA it has to have 51 percent of the cost of producing the product be manifested in the us and I used to work for a company that had bearings completely made in Mexico and only packaged and labeled for shipping in the us and they were labeled as made in the USA because over 51 percent of the cost was packaging and labeling I'm sure other industries get away with similar things

Sorry this is late. I was on vacation. All this varies by series, but having visited the factories myself... yes, it does give me a warm glow. They are doing a heck of a lot more than you would think, or I antisipated. The engine and trans assemblies are total imports, and yes.. thats the bulk of the expense. However basicly everything else, chasis fab, mowers, loaders, sheet metal, paint, final assembly, etc are all done here. There are some models that are more "American" than their Deere or New Holland counterparts. Just as you can buy a more American Toyota than a Ford. So painting with a broad brush is totally overlooking the complex supply chains that exist today.

for education...
T/ZD/ZG/GR/RTV/BX are all KMA products with final manufacturing done state side. The EU also gets some of their tractors from KMA.
M/TLB runs though KIE which does final assembly only
KX/B/L are total imports, expect the implements.
