Mowing DIY Mower Deck Storage Wheels

Thanks very much for the response. I'll probably put the hole for the clevis pin around 5 inches from the end since I have 18-inch axles. I'm using stem casters for wheels. It should look like this one on a JD deck.View attachment 531043

Does anyone know if the gauge height pin is at the same angle on the 60D deck (in the picture) as the caster stems? It is not at the same angle on the 60HC and I have spent tons of time trying to figure the angle to drill the gauge height pin hole in relation to the caster stem.:confused2: This project has stumped many a local machinist too.

I ended up doing it the easy way and I bought a set of these type of storage wheels. It clears up some floor space in the shop when the mowing season ends.

I had the kind before that didn't turn.

Jeez, you guys are BRILLIANT! I never thought of a piece of bar stock with wheels attached, and then run thru the deck wheel mounts!
Hope you guys don`t mind, but i would like to steal your idea`s on this because my space in my garage is so limited.
