+1000% !!!!!!!!!!!

This is off tangient, but I really, really liked Robert Redford in The Legend of Jeremiah Johnson too. Those battles with the Crow and Sioux Indians were awesome.

"[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]this stuff isn't getting to me - the shootings, the knifings, the beatings. Old ladies being bashed in the head for their social security checks. Nah that doesn't bother me. But you know what does bother me? You know what makes me really sick to my stomach? It's watching you stuff your face with those hotdogs! Nobody - I mean nobody puts ketchup on a hot dog!"

Yo Moss,
You need to get on the tractor more and stop watching so much TV!

Just playin', that was a cool line though.

All these movies are top billing but "Unforgiven" I think is the best. It captures all the spirit of a western and looks at it without the cartoonishness that Hollywood usually gives the characters. I work with people like those in the movie, good and bad.

Of course, I still giggle about the book title: "The Duck of Death."
Duck, I says.

Roy,

That was good, I mean bad, well you know what I mean. :D

Not sure what Rox will say though.:D

Clint's Unforgiven. Duke Wayne's The Shootist.

Both are the best Western movies I have seen. I can watch The Shootist over and over. Not sure I can say that about Unforgin. But its a great movie.

Later,
Dan

Some of the best lines in Josey Wales were spoken by Chief Dan George...."I notice when you get to DISlikin' someone they ain't around for long neither." - "I didn't surrender, but they took my horse and made him surrender. They have him pulling a wagon up in Kansas I bet."

Terrill - "Not a hard man to track. Leaves dead men wherever he goes."

Still my #1 Clint Eastwood movie, and in my all-time favorites list. GBU was a benchmark movie, and also a classic....it was clearly the pinnacle of the spaghetti westerns (all of which were enjoyable). Unforgivern was remarkable for it's stark, cold, barren, reality, but I never wanted to be like any of those characters; I really wanted to be like Josey Wales. That movie just captured my fancy.
