Feeling some inspiration.....
I have an FEL, an electric (Remington) pole saw, a piece of 20' fence top rail, some guy wire, an extension cord, a switch or two and a tree hanging over a telephone pole (no power line on it).
Not sure if I have the guts or not though.
Maybe he had seat belt on:thumbsup:
....and you didn't get your saw pinched or hung up in a tree 25' above the ground! :cool2:
...nor did your saw mounting board bust apart from the boom so that a running chainsaw comes flying out of the sky and lands on your lap. :cool2:
Me neither!. I'd be too afraid the 2x4 will snap, act like a spring, and send the chainsaw flying towards me!.. NO THANKS!..I'm impressed, would I do it... NOT, but nice job !

My power company uses hydraulic powered chainsaws..You know - if I had seven miles of lanes/roads to limb and the limbs got up to 3" - I'd be looking for professional help. This doesn't really sound like a DIY project.
Particularly - with the height ( 25 feet ), power lines involved is some areas and limbs up to 3".
That's why power companies have hydraulic man lifts on big trucks and workers with chain saws.
You mean THIS Remington saw? I used (3) 5" hose clamps from TS to pin it to my forks.
This by no means is an all day work solution, just a simple solution to trim a few trees.
