Nice pics taken while coming up the Saint Mary's today. The Block is suppose to be the most maneuverable boat on the lakes.

Not much boat traffic in Nebraska....

I like that site and have used it for quite a while. Neat to see the inland boat traffic on the rivers, too.

Was that their training ship? I haven't googled it up, but recall something to that effect.

The lower lakes got two aircraft carriers for navy pilot training, hence many aircraft are found in the bottom of lake Michigan. Here is the other one and both were conversions from other boat types.

Big things seen in the Grand Marais MN Harbor. The barge and derrick came up from Duluth 2 or so days ago.

Yesterday afternoon conditions worsened as the start this three-day snowstorm. The Edwin H Gott arrived in Duluth MN just as the winds did for fuel and will head back out afterwards to load iron ore in Two Harbors.
