Hijacked cell phone number

Do you have the phone listed on the national do not call list?
I hear you, but that would not help in this case. The credit agencies are legitimately trying to collect a debt. The debtor likely gave bad info on purpose.

We had a land line here in Texas for 14 years. Did all of the do not call options, but over the entire time we got calls for the same couple trying to collect. At times, I spoke with the collectors as I have done fraud investigations. They are just hitting every known number.

Everything you can do is temporary. Even changing the number.

My only phone, out here, is my cell phone. Land line is not available. My cell phone is ALWAYS off. Unless I want to make a call OR when I periodically check to see if there are any messages worth returning.

Spam learns this mighty quick. I don't get two spam calls a month.

My cell is always on, I probably get some spam calls, but if their number is not on my list, they go to VM.
