I live in North Eastern Arkansas and we have had flocks so large (multi-millions) come out of the rice fields and stop by my farm on the way to there roosting spot. They were so many flying overhead that it would darken the sky and I would go out to see if it was a storm coming. My front yard is about 10 acres and it was totally black. then they would all at once just leave. they would do this in the morning and again in the evening. we are in the woods so my guess is they would go back into the woods to roost at night. I haven't seen them this year.
