FYI -The HF 5 gal pump will require over 300 strokes to empty a 5 gallons pail.

I don't remember where I got mine, but I put 13 gallon of 90w into my old Farmall a while back.

Didn't seem like it took all that much effort

Okay.....for $9.99 the pump screwed on to the plastic spout...but did not want to tighten all the way....it would hit a point an would pop and start from the begging again on screwing it on....figured where it was about to pop and stopped...if the top of the can was a "hard" piece and not a pop up plastic piece this probably would not have been an issue...... put the hook end into the filler hole and started pumping....had to hold the base of the pump down since the spout would flex when I pumped....hook end was in the filler hole stayed in with no indication of falling out while I pumped........126 stokes later it was full....

1.56 gallons is the capacity of the rear differential on this mower.......

End of tubing (hook) fits into a hole in the pump cap to drain back into the bucket......

Clean no mess......not fast....arm is tired....but for a small piece of equipment like this lawn mower......better than holding the 5gl can in the air until it was over flowing on the ground......

There were a few more that had a longer handle that may be better for a larger tractor......Northern Tools had a couple too......if this one breaks will probably try one with a handle with move leverage.

Here are a few pics.....Second pictures shows where the filler hole was and how small it was.
First pictures shows storing the pump after using it. Final was of the hook end inside the filler tube.

That's a bargain for $10. It even has anti-collapse wire in the vinyl hose.

This photo is what I use. I could not find it on the HF site, so I clipped
this photo from Northern. They want $36, vs. the $19 I paid HF years ago.

It has adjustable stroke for as much as 2.5 oz/stroke, so you can figure
on nearly 50 strokes per gallon, best case.

The biggest thing for either tool is no mess, and no helper needed!
