. I think some of the larger tractors have electronic draft control but I'm not sure.

Actually, I think it's electric OVER mechanical in that the electric only moves the mechanical lever. I had an M8950 years ago that I think operated that way.

If you don't feel comfortable installing it, don't. The price isn't that much and you'll get it adjusted right. Again, it's not that hard and when it is adjusted correctly you will know it.
