Nice ideas guys! dougkumo, you should post a picture of your plowing set up. That would be interesting to see. I think I will need to put tire chains on mine next year.

I had a foot of wet cement to plow a couple of days ago. There is no such thing as too much traction.:D

Hey, you asked for a picture or two, here is the best ballast weight idea I've seen in awhile. If you want one let me know and we can talk. This 3pt weight goes about 375 lbs and takes up almost no space at all. Running the safety chains to hold the plate up so never a need to adjust the position for clearance.

well I installed by hydro angle blade over a week ago, and its still in the 50's here in N Idaho. just raining and warm. I have loaded rears, 2" spacers and chains at the ready.......... crazy weather, who knows

Well, that steel plate ballast worked OK for loader snow removal but in the end it takes way too long to get the snow where it won't be in the way. Still cannot find a fair deal on a snow blade so have to get a new plan. Found a great local deal on a MK Martin Meteor 51", and it weighs the same as that ballast plate. So now we wait for the next snowfall and see how good this setup is. My wallet likes it already, half the price of that BX2767 Quick Attach Snow Blade.

That first set of pictures are very interesting, and yes I am interested in that 375lb weight.

Is that the quick attach front loader plow?!?!?!

Yes it is. Haven't had a chance to use it yet. I'll give a full report after the first snow.

Updated Spring, 2015
The plow worked great this past winter. We have about 1300 ft of driveway and It took about 20-30 minutes to plow. Used to take about 2 hours or more with the snow blower.
