First post on the forum and pretty much new to tractors and plows. I just went out and bought a MF Model 25 disk Plow to hook up to my Ford 515 Industrial Tractor. Bought the 515 back in OCT. It's not pretty but it works. I plan on rebuilding the plow this year, but i have to disk about 4 acres with it as soon as the ground dries out. It's been raining here in Texas for the past couple of days. The Model 25 has no cracks in the frame and there is only two things i see wrong with it. The first being that someone welded the places where the scrapers bolt on to and also the housing around a bearing is broken. I think i'll fill up the housings with grease and Pray that it holds for the 4 acres for now. Then during the summer i'll get a new housing for it and tear it apart and paint the plow. I just ordered a manual for it yesterday, so i'll know the proper names of everything. Anybody know where to get parts for these old Model 25 Disks? I will update you on how the rebuild goes. Here are some pictures of the model 25. From what I understand by reading on line the MF I have is the biggest one they made for the model 25. It has 7 disk on each axle for a total of 28 disks. Cant wait until it dries enough to get out and PLOW..... Winter Sucks. P.S: Any tips or hints or info on the model 25 would be appreciated.
