I am seeking a way to keep four X 1" axle nuts tight on my factory-new Howse disc harrow.
I do not weld. I am considering Loc-Tite.
I would prefer to replace factory low-tech split-ring lock washers with some improved nut-locking hardware.
What about specialty lock washers? NORD-LOCK, BELLEVILLE, HEICO WEDGE LOCK.....others?
What about SPIRALOCK lock nuts? .....others?
Are any of these particularly suited for maintaining axle nuts TIGHT on a disc?

One problem with self tightening nuts and all types of lock washers is the average person does not realize they are engineered for a one time use. Loosen one REPLACE IT!
