wow DT86, that second photo. Did you go down forward then backup the hill? Are your tires loaded?

I recently purchased my L3540 and it definitly feels alot more tipsy than my B2920. I wouldnt all my property "hilly" but it is definitly not flat. Post some photos of your tractors on hills. Not on inclines and declines. (although those would be fun photos to see as well). So whatever tractor you have, Large or small, I'd like to see some hill shots.

Sorry, don't have any photos of my tractors on hills since my 10 acres is flat pasture. BUT, if I had hills I'd use my 1964 MF135 diesel to mow those suckers.



It's set up to squat low for work in the olive orchards around here. The rear tires are BF Goodrich 6 ply 18.4-16A (18" wide, 16" dia rim, 40" tall overall, loaded with water). The rear wheel track measured to the outside of the tires is 83" and the centerline of the rear axle is 20" above grade. The front axle spindles have been shortened to keep the tractor level.

The first picture shows the same hill as the second one, prior to being mowed. I go up forwards actually. If you click on the picture to make it bigger, then click on it again to zoom-in you can see the tire tracks.

I was using a M125x Kubota with the rear tires loaded and the loader on, minus a bucket and a 10' Deere pull type cutter

Northern Minnesota is pretty flat. The closest thing to what might be construed as a hill would be a sand ridge. Our farm is built on the side of a sand ridge with the buildings and pastures on the ridge, while the fertile crop land is on the flat, drained swamp below. I think this is the only hillside picture I have, as most of my tractor work is done down on the flats. Not much to it after seeing some of those other posts!

You know it is steep when the rear wheels are sliding sideways downhill
