Bob, I agree with you 100% but it does protect the tractor manufactor from liability. If you tell some one how to disable the overide switch and some thing happens you may be putting the liability else where. I looked at a Toro lawn tractor and they had a key that you turned on/off to overide the switch once the operator of the tractor turned the key the liability was put else where.

I fully understand that it protects corporate rump. In fact that IS the major impetus for the device. But as a safety device it is a complete failure and it's very easy for one to illustrate as I have done above that the RIO actually makes the machine more dangerous.

Just please everybody........look behind you.
