Have you folks seen the price for shipping tractors since the fuel increases? It's staggering.

I was quoted $5 a mile loaded......very steep.

A $2.00/gallon price increase for a truck averaging 10 MPG would increase fuel cost $0.20/loaded mile or $0.40/round trip mile. Increased fuel cost might be an excuse to jack up the freight cost by$1.00/mile or more?

Fuel increases typically ripple up through the economy...wages for drivers will also go up. If only there was a way we could increase oil supply...
