Hello from a newbe
/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gifI've been looking for a 60" toothbar. After reading about them on this forum I decided I wanted one with slotted mounting brackets so that I could loosen the bolts and slide the toothbar forward and pivot it up when back dragging. The only one I knew about with slots was W.R.Long. Since I couldn't find a dealer in my area, I called W.R. Long direct to work something out, he turned me on to Carver. During our conversation I asked if the reason for the slotted mounting brackets was to pivot the toothbar. The answer was no, the reason for the slots was to have the bolt holes drilled at the back of the slots so as the cutting edge of the bucket wore down you could move the toothbar back. I think the person I spoke with was the owner. Has anyone actually mounted a W.R. Long TB style toothbar with the bolts at the front of the slots and been able to pivot it around ? If the Long Toothbar won't work, can anyone suggest another manufacturer. I don't think the wearing down of the bucket edge is something I need to worry about.
Thanks John
