News from Elon on what caused the explosion.

Nothing wrong with the ship. They were carrying extra LOX and massively vented it...

Had they been carrying a payload instead, Musk said there would not have been an explosion.

More Bad News on Artemis dates pushed back again...

SpaceX speech by Elon year review and much more. Launch cadence to increase to maybe150 Falcon 9's in 2024. Looking forward 8 years we will likely be on Mars with Starship.

It Looks like SpaceX is close to launching the Largest and most Powerful Flying machine in World History.

I do not think that is quite true,,
the SpaceX Merlin engine produces about 420kN,,
The F1 engine used in the 1960's and 1970's produced 6,770kN
If my math is correct the F1 produced over 16X what the Merlin engine produces.
The Saturn V could lift a payload that was over 300,000 pounds,,
That is a 150 ton payload,, that is over double the lift capacity of the Falcon Heavy,,,

You are responding to the first post . Starship does not use Merlins.

RAPTORS
old data Newer iterations should eclipse these thrust numbers

At full power, all engines produce a collective 74.4 MN (16,700,000 lbf) of thrust...More than double the Saturn V total output

Saturn V held the record for about 57 years. (not too shabby). Got beat last year by Starship.

Marcus House had a new vid with some Elon Quotes of where the Starship is headed lift and power wise and Beyond.
Neat video footage and construct as well.

I just saw this posted.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has completed its investigation into SpaceX’s second Starship flight, which took place in November last year

With the note that verification of modifications needed, final FAA approval and launch should happen in March.
