One of the long standing myths JD has been hiding behind on "Right to Repair", was EPA/emissions issues...

EPA says "Nope, have one right to your sack".

Couldn't happen to a nicer company.

Oh FFS! The only reason that 'they' are coming after JD is that they are US American based... all other colours are 'off shore' owned.

'They'll' nail the other colours in time.

Of course they will. Also couldn't be better when they do, but JD is the first of many that must be broken of this culture.

Only to the people that didn’t understand what they were doing in the first place. Just conformation for the rest of us.

My wife’s Uncle was involved in shipping all of their castings to China. it’s only funny until it sets in…

The entire thing is pointless. JD did try to restrict peoples right to repair but they signed an agreement with the American Farm Bureau and dropped the entire thing. The problem went away and people are still bitching about it. It’s a bad deal they tried it but they are not the only ones who went down that road.

No.

They signed a "Memorem of Understanding".

That's it.

Not legally binding on them in any way. JD could change their minds (on the memorem) any time the whim takes them. The problem most certainly has not "gone away".

It's only "pointless" if you have blinders on.
