I googled stone fruit. They are very common here, I just never heard them called that. I didn't see why they are called stone fruit, but the only thing that they seem to have in common is the large pits. Maybe those are called "stones" in some places?

Did you just go take that picture? or is that one you have on file for when somebody like me asks what you're talking about? It's been dark out here for 2 1/2 hours, but I guess it's daylight down there.

Yes the seed is called stone over here , Plums , Nectarines , peaches etc are stone fruit . Yes I just took the picture for a bit of a laugh .

Thanks chaps , they are all just expensive garden ornaments at the moment , I'm hoping for a better 2010 .

Here's another picture I just found , it's just after I finished painting Tree Hugger , sadly it will never look like this again .:(

too bad you dont live closer I would rent the xcavator
