One very important thing I can add is about the filter..
Maybe you’ve run into this in your journeys around the web..
IF u have the 3 pc filter set up, filter head, filter, glass bowl with the long screw that holds it all together..
If your using a NAPA OR WIX FILTER..
THE TOP ORING MUST GO “UP IN” The filter head..
NOT “ON” THE FILTER..
It looks like it goes “on” the filter..
Otherwise it’ll choke off the fuel..
If it ran before u started working on it and then changed the filter and didn’t pay SPECIAL ATTENTION TO THE TOP ORING.. u might have built in a problem..??
It’s worth a 2nd look..
Good luck

My 3000 (175 ci) had a Simms inline, My 550 (201ci) has the CAV distributor type. Both 3 cylinder Ford diesels. Ford definitely used both types on the 3 cylinder diesels.
Thanks for the info.

Thanks gents!
I’ll get busy and get Old Daisy up and at it!
I finally brought home the service manual for the 2000,3000, and 4000 series. I don't know if it can help you, but I have it if you need it.

The members who have already posted can probably offer more, however. 👍
