The easiest way to lay out something like the hydrant wrench is to make a circle the same size as the outside diameter and use a radius to marker to make 5 equal distant points. You have to play a little to get it just right but it's easier than remembering how to draw a pentagon or other shape. Hexagon is real easy because the circle is exactly 6 times the radius. Used to make flanges for fire tubes like that to mark where the holes needed to be punched with the ironworker.
