I was given an IBC Tote that used to store acrylic paint.

I've emptied the paint and rinse out the tote the best I could.

Someone suggested pouring a couple of boxes of borax into the Container filling it up with water and letting it sit which I did for more than a month.

Loose paint remnants still left inside the container I'd like to clean it out much better.

What can I pour inside this plastic IBC Tote that will absolutely remove the old paint residue.

I'm not looking for something that might work I've already tried that is there anything that I can put inside of their / it around and it will definitely remove the old paint residue?

All the time and effort required to clean that out isn't worth the "free" Food grade totes are easy enough to find for watering plants and such.

100% acrylic paint is actually a plastic...it may or may not peel off easily in large sheets...try taping a small putty knife onto a stick etc...

I agree, most places that use them will give them to you for free since they are usually a one time use or cost more to return than they are worth.

I got one that still had some liquid resin in it but between a 100 PSI water hose and some diesel it washed out completely. As for dried acrylic, not much is going to get rid of that when dried that wont dissolve the TOTE container.

A pressure washer will probably take it off, you will need a angled adapter for the tip though. I would just loook for another, not worth it even if you have to pay $20-30 for another one.

Around here, they are all around a hundred bucks Canadian. Or you could go to an auction and pay a bit more. lol Still not worth messing around with.
