Where to weld bucket hooks?

/ Where to weld bucket hooks? #91
I did not put these shackles on my bucket I bought the tractor used.
But these are the handiest things to have , I can not tell you how many times I have used them in the past year. I know this much if I ever get another tractor with a FEL the first thing I will do is get some welded on my bucket

Thanks to this forum topic it has helped me successfully add a few hooks to the JD. I plan to add a 2" trailer set-up on the center of the bucket very soon.

I had two 40+ foot pine trees fall last winter and needed a way to move the 6-8 cut sections.

See the results in the posted pics. I painted them JD green.

I know I lose alot of my loaders lift capacity with this setup, but definitely no need for a hood guard :D

Another use of receiver tube on top center of bucket, i have yet to need or want weld on hooks.

JB.

Nice. I didn't see it but is that length of angle that sits on the bottom lip of the bucket pinned or connected in any way, or does it just sit there. I realize the pole is a rigid piece of 2x2 tube steel but personally if I was building something like this for myself I would put two pinsor bolts through the angle and bucket to lock it all down tight with zero chance of it coming loose.

Looks good. I put a slip hook in between the two grab hooks. I can then run the chain through the slip and over to a grab hook on one side or the other to take up the slack. The slip hook is nice when you need to hook to a rope or cable eye, strap, etc.
