I found a used Woods BH7500 backhoe for $2500 at a local dealer. It has a PTO pump and a Kubota frame mount. The dealer told me that a frame mount for my TC35 would cost $1900 and the 3pt would be $500.
I'd prefer the frame mount but $1900 is just ridiculous. Has anyone tried modifying a kubota mount to work with a TC series tractor? I'm wondering how much work it would be? If its too much work I'll just get the 3pt mount.
Another thought is that I could sell the kubota mount that comes with it to help pay for the TC35 mount.
I can't really understand why the TC35 mount is so much. I figured it would be between $800 and $1200. He even told me that most of the mounts are around $1000. So there must be something really special with the TC35.
What do you think about the 3pt route? I know most would agree that a subframe is best but in this case the price is too steep for me.
