CK20SHST Kioti
CK20HST
Model Year: 2007

I purchased this tractor to prepare my 3 acre parcel and to prep. It has performed well after suffering multiple issues most of which were owner/nature inflicted. First, my father drove it off a 10 ft wall with the loader bucket and mower deck on it, fortunately it was caught by the bucket which was down. The accident required his neighbor to lift it out of its predicament with a boom crane, there were a few scrapes but no significant damage. Next, a micro burst of wind collapsed the old dairy barn it was stored in to collapse sideways flipping the tractor on its side and pinning it under many tons of debris and a foot and a half of snow. The result was a crushed left rear fender, ruined battery (acid leaked out) and acid rotted air screen in the hood. Last incident was the hydraulic direction control lever was pushed or got caught while brush hogging a heavily wooded lot (possible the linkage under the fender) and caused the hydraulics to somehow bind up. The end result was that the hydraulic pump locked up and broke the end of the cam with the lobe that drives the pump off, leaving the unit with power only to the transmission but no hydraulics. The dealership went to bat and Kioti paid for all materials, new hydraulic pump, cam shaft etc. I paid only @ 1K labor, bill would have been over 4K. I would have much preferred a product made in U.S.A., but basically are none. Should have bought the next size larger just for the horsepower & hydraulics. I use w/loader, back hoe, finish mower, brush hog, box blade, scraper blade, core aerator, and 4' roto tiler. The backhoe would perform better w/more hydraulics and I would like to use a slightly larger finish mower (I'm told 5' is max), a PTO chipper (hard to find one small enough) and a auger/post hole digger with a large bit (told 8 - 10" max for sandy area w/no rock). I believe I got what I paid for and have no real complaints just 20/20 hindsight.

Pros: Good hydraulics for tractor size, well built, reasonably priced Kubota knock off.
Cons: Not made in U.S.A. Poor placement of ignition key---anyone over 5'5" hits it with knee and is in jeopardy of breaking it off. Design of hydraulic direction control lever system.

Very Handy
Model Year: 0

Great little tractor but I am noticing some power loss. I am guessing fuel filter, any other ideas would be appreciated.

Pros: Small enough to go anywhere.
Cons: Power, but this is solvable.

Kioti CK20 HST After a couple of seasons of looking at... and a two months of active shopping for a tractor, I finally committed myself. My 10 acres in Eastern Township are typical of northern Vermont. I'm 50 miles away of Jay's Peak. The main purpose for the tractor was for snow removal. I got a 51 inches front Martin snow blower (mid PTO driven) and dual hydraulic control. I added a hydraulic Kelly wood splitter, a heavy-duty box blade, an electric winch up front (Champion 4500lbs) and my pride and joy: Hydrolique Forest winch by Payeur (6500lbs). Rear basket for chainsaw, R4 tires, and the FEL was in the deal... The tractor is 22hp, but it is a power house, kind of a small tank, for his size pretty much unstoppable! I hesitated a lot before buying a 22hp, in fact I was looking for a CK30 or 35. I have 1/4 mile of driveway to clear in the winter, a lot of turning and getting around; the 51'' snow blower was practically easy to maneuver than the 68 inches. Getting around in the forest, circling around threes was even a bigger difficulty. The CK20 HST being 48 inches wide is the best compromise for me. By the way, the forest winch is a pure delight! So far, I have about 10 hours; it's surprising how thought it is, absolute no regret, and the service by Payeur's is outstanding! Phil48

Pros: Got for it.
Cons: None so far.

CK20S Review
Model Year: 2008

The main uses for the CK20S HST are earth moving snow plowing. I have the KL120 loader, the KB 2465 backhoe, and a Marolin M250 boom mower. The driveway is two tenths of a mile long so I use the CK20 to plow snow by taking the loader bucket off and installing a Curtis snow plow. When the weather is nicer I alternate between the backhoe and boom mower. The boom mower works great for mowing my pond banks and driveway. I have a 36” ditch bucket that I use to keep the ditch cleaned out. It has been a good tractor and I have had no major problems with it. All I have done is to follow the maintenance schedule but I do change the oil every year. Fortunately, the tractor and attachments are stored under cover out of the weather. In my opinion the backhoe is a little to heavy for the tractor and it sticks out too far behind the back wheels. It is a working little machine that still surprises my with what it can do.

Pros: Does a lot of work for a small tractor.
Cons: Backhoe to heavy.

Great Tractor for the Price
Model Year: 2008

The Kioti tractor has been well worth the money, and my next tractor will be another Kioti. I use the loader to move logs, clay, dirt, gravel, and anything else I don't feel like carrying around the yard. I mow, sweep, skid logs, grade, etc with the 3 point. The 20 hp has it's limitations, but works great for 85% of the things I use it for. Highly recommended.

Pros: Small size, heavy frame, hydrostatic is great, metal hood.
Cons: Could use more power.

Early feedback on Kioti CK20HST
Model Year: 2011

This is a very early report on the CK20HST, purchased for grounds maintenance support; snow blowing, hauling firewood, pulling stumps, etc. I do not use it for lawn mowing. The little Kioti has met all expectations so far. It was delivered with no build or shipment defects whatsoever. It is quiet, strong and capable. I love the maneuverability - there's nowhere it doesn't fit. At the same time, I purchased a snowblower, Zero Turn mower and 16' trailer from the same dealer. The dealer has proven to be first rate.

Pros: Compact maneuverability, very low fuel consumption.
Cons: Long glow plug interval before starting, even in hot weather.
