JD4110 John Deere
Purchased A Used 4110
Model Year: 2002

I am the second owner. I purchased a used John Deere 4110 with a Curtis cab, front-end loader, and front mounted snowblower at 800 hours. I've been using this tractor quite heavily for the last year and a half. Thus far, this tractor has outperformed all my expectations. Every part of this tractor runs great. I live in Wisconsin, and with the cold winters, it starts every time. I would recommend this unit to anyone who may need a tractor that's large enough to handle any task on a small 10 to 15-acre parcel, but not so big that it's in the way. Using this machine on a commercial scale may be a bit small, but it does handle the jobs very well. My other tractor is a 455, which is another great piece of equipment. This is a lifer tractor, no doubt.

Pros: Heavy duty, doesn't break down
Cons: None I can think of

Great Tractor!!
Model Year: 2001

I was lucky enough to get a great deal on a well maintained JD 4110 and I absolutely love it. My father has a JD 2305 and I thought I was getting something equivalent to his, however after many hours in the seat there is no comparison. This tractor is very well built and with a FEL it can handle about anything within reason. Only thing I wish it had was a mid range selection. High range is limited to mowing and level ground.

Pros: Very well built tractor, plenty of power, lots of options
Cons: Wish it had a mid range selection ( ONLY A WISH)

Great Little Tractor
Model Year: 2002

I grew up on tractors. Most of the tractors were 3 times the size of the John Deere 4110. But comparatively the John Deere 4110 can do as much work as a larger tractor, due to the 4 wheel drive. It maneuvers very well in a tight space. The loader digs so much better than the older tractors. I just bought a 5 ft rotary mower and can't wait to try it out.

Pros: Maneuvers great, good power, great transmission.
Cons: A little light, loader could be stronger.

I Should Have Bought This Years Ago
Model Year: 2001

2 years ago I finally bought the tractor I should have bought 13 years ago. When we bought our home in VT, I picked up a used JD 2440 (2WD) with a loader and a back blade, mostly to maintain our 1/4 mile driveway, move stone & gravel, etc. But that machine is much larger than what I need for other jobs, and the 2WD is very limiting. I finally broke down and bought a used JD 4110 (4WD hydro-static) with a loader. I expanded the hydraulics so I could use my 3-pt hitch log splitter, added a grapple and built a 54" brush rake to go with it. Then I found a used 60" belly mower, and I'm in heaven. This effortlessly mows my 2 acre lawn in 2 hours. The power steering & hydraulic lift for the mower deck is awesome! This machine handles stone and gravel much better than the larger 2440, digs better, is more maneuverable, and is generally more useful. The brush rake with grapple has greatly reduced the labor involved in cutting brush, and we cut a lot of brush here. In short, I'm very happy with this machine. But I think if I was going to start all over, I would probably go to a 25-30 hp 4WD hydro-static machine with a quick-release loader an mower-deck.

Pros: 4wd, maneuverability, power steering, mower, remote hydraulics, easy maintenance.
Cons: None really.

Tractor does everything I need to care for horses and land clearing. Always surprised with the power this machine has for its size. Very good tractor for my chores. The few times I have needed a bigger machine I can call father in law down the street.

Pros: Great power for its size.
Cons: None.

Love My Johnnie
Model Year: 2006

This year Johnnie and I are really getting a work out splitting wood. I got a 3 point splitter from Tractor Supply and hooked it up to the power beyond and "out of sight". This setup really works great. The power range is great only stopped it once and believe me I put some big stuff on it. I got a 4 way wedge which works OK it seems they really didn't use hard metal in the construction, the wings have nicks on them as if it hit something hard. The only thing hard I hit is the wood. Well happy trails.

Pros: Great choice.
Cons: 4 way wedge could be stronger.

My 4110
Model Year: 2003

I bought it used on eBay from Wisconsin and had it trucked to Oregon. Had to repair a wheel cylinder, but other than that, it has been a good tractor. I have used it to mow with a brush hog and to dig trenches for french drains, haul gravel, etc. Have a backhoe and front loader too. Wish I had more time to play with it...

Pros: Solid tractor.
Cons: None.

Love My Jonny
Model Year: 2006

The area that I live in has about 6 tractors and I check them out and hands down the John Deere is a better machine. I would say its like looking at a Caddie then a Yougo. The thing is far better thought out then the others. Now don't think I'm prejudice I did replace my Mule with Kubota RTV, which I really like except for the jerky hydraulic trans. Johnny and I work well together from taking out the trash to splitting firewood he never let me down. He doesn't mind lifting stuff either since I'm getting old. I have 2 sons and every once in a while Johnny takes a sleep over and they even remember to bring him home if I remind them. Ya I really like the John Deere 4110 that I have, no complaints,

Pros: Great little machine.
Cons: John Deere dealers never answer your email questions, your on your own.
