Great Tractor

This tractor is the handiest thing around here except my wife & if she stops cooking, it may move into 1st place. Everything it does, it does well. I had a much larger Case/ International before this & if the Kubota had the weight for traction, it would out work the Case. It actually handles a bush hog better than the case & the lift on both ends is comparable. I have the 8 sp. shuttle & it is ideal. I like it better than hydro. I would buy it again & again & recommend it to any one in the 30hp to 35 hp range. It works more like a 40hp t0 45 hp. I use it with 9 tooth cultivator, middle buster, angle blade, box blade, f.e.l, Woods brush bull cutter. & anything else I can borrow. It does it all.
Pros: Everything, lift, loader, 3 pt. hook up style, controls, ride, starting, seat, flat floor, & on & on !!
Cons: Absolutely none found !!

Great Tractor!

I don't have anything to compare this tractor to, as it is my first one, but I really love it. It is very well built and has had no trouble doing anything I've asked of it.
Pros: Quality, features, HST, controls, weight capacity
Cons: More lights, higher on the tractor and at the rear. I'll put those on. This is really minor.

L3240 - versatile work horse

Use tractor to: 1)Brush hog 2 ac field. 2)Subsoil, potato plow & rototill large garden. 3)Subsoil, potato plow, rear blade & FEL drainage. 4)Snow removal with rear blade & FEL. 5)Skid firewood & haul brush. With R1s and adequate ballast this machine has enough traction to pull well. Good fuel economy. GST trans & PTO HP.
Pros: Good balance of useful power to size and weight. Good hydraulic capacity. L724 FEL option.
Cons: Sometimes jerky 3ph.

My first tractor

This is my first tractor, bought on a recommendation, and I have been very happy with all aspects. It does a great job.
Pros: HST is easy to break in new drivers
Cons: Bigger is always better

Grand L 3240, 724 loader

I bought this Kubota after several years of agonizing over physical size, horsepower, features and a ton of other items. This Kubota has continually amazed me with it's capabilities and for the most part, I have been completely satisfied. I said for the most part... The only thing I have ever wished the tractor had was more brute horsepower. I am planning to trade at the first (financial) opportunity for a 5740. I occasionally need a bit more hydraulic capacity and I pull a 2 bottom 14 inch plow every once in a while that I wish I could pull a bit faster. I also run a 6 foot tiller that works the 3240 a bit more than I would like. I do not plan to go to larger equipment so I think a 5740 would fulfill my every need and then some. If I never get to trade up, my 3240 still gets it done.
Pros: Sweet to operate;almost everything else
Cons: I wish the loader was self levelling

What a step up

I had an AC D17 from the early 60's with snap couplers. I STILL cannot believe what I can do with the Kubota. The only "odd" thing that happened so far was about two weeks ago when the HST would not return to neutral (it was "creeping" forward). It was on a Saturday afternoon, so I reviewed the manual (nothing there) then checked THIS website. I found references to HST pivot lube. Bought some dry film lube and it has worked fine since. I am real happy with the 0.8 gal/hr fuel use, and I am getting my money's worth making LARGE messes in my pasture! Bought a KK HD rear blade (750 lb) on sale for 300 (about the ONLY good deal I have EVER made)!! Could not be happier with the performance and versatility. I got the HST for the wife, but find that I really like it over a gearshift. Now I have to repair my 6' BMB rotary cutter that I finally tore up in the last year of my AC use. I do not know why I waited this long!
Pros: Dealer is 5 miles from me, and I knew the salesman for years. I probably paid more than I could have, but I was happy to support the local dealer and keep the money close to home.

This is my second tractor after trading in my 09 BX 25 for the 3240.I find this tractor to be able to do so much more and a lot faster.I got it with loaded R4's ,LA724 loader and BH90 backhoe. I got the hydro transmission and really like the Hydro Dual Speed feature. I find it very useful especially when doing FEL work. The tractor has quite a bit of weight to it, which I think is useful for a tractor. I find the motor has enough power for what I do with it but could see a need for more power if I was driving it on the side of the road a lot, especially on hills. I only use the PTO to run a Wallenstein BX42 wood chipper.There is lots of power for this but larger implements may require more PTO power.The driver area is very comfortable with a flat floor and lots of legroom.The tilt steering is very helpful in getting on and off the tractor. Overall I am very happy with the tractor and find it fits my needs very well.
Pros: Lots of weight for the size. Very well engineered. High quality fit and finish.
Cons: Could use a bit more power for some applications.

Excellent tractor- Use it mostly for leased hunting land- bush hogging- food plots. Pulls the heck out of a 6ft disc! Easy to operate (GST) around smaller food plots, only draw back is that I want more implements!
Pros: Smooth operation.
Cons: I am spoiled after using a 1984 Ford 1710.

I like everything about my tractor, except the price, It was a good deal, but of course free would be better. The only feature I wish it had was a back light to illuminate behind the tractor. I am really glad we got 4WD, and HST, and front loader.
Pros: 4WD, front loader, & HST.
Cons: Better indicator that the brake is on.
