Brush Forks for 23HP Kubota BX2350

you did a excellent job and not days to do it .. i did some what the same but only 2 forks ... i have a B1750 and i put a grader blade on for a cutting edge . the old cutting edge was getting a little thin . the blade was new it is 4 inch wide not really off a grader .just to give you a idea . i think it was off a skid steer . but it cuts unbelievable and if you have to back drag it cuts going back as good as going ahead . just remember if you put one on have the cruel going down not up ... good luck boys .. them little tractors are our grow up TONKA toy lol love mine

I found the forks to be an easy way to move my box blade around!


Here is a video I made while burning cedar trees. I used the tractor and forks to "feed" the fire. Too much fun!

What size square tubing did you use? I was planning to make a grapple but this seems very effective and much easier/less expensive

I also have some tentative plans drawn up for a set of brush forks like that....
I'm going to do a chain on attachment around the bucket with chain binders to keep from drilling holes in the bucket..
With the lifting capacity of my FEL I'm going to do about 18" long tines and like the looks of the 9 time arrangement...
Plan at this time to use 1 1/4" heavy and medium wall square tube... With 45* angle on the front edges and a piece of
1/4 x 1 1/4" flat stock to cap the open end and extend up kind of like a small fish hook barb to keep thing on the forks, and for ware on the bottom.

Will post photo when I get around to that project....

Wyobuckaroo, here's something very similar to what you plan. Material stays on without the caps being extended. They are quick on and off. I used a short piece of strap with a heavy duty ratchet strap connected to a chain bridle loop on the back end of the fork assembly. The tubes are capped and cut at a 45° angle on the leading edge. The angled end is facing down so the tip skids on the ground when going for a load.

I also fasten mine with a ratchet strap to avoid the holes.
I noticed Chim put his bucket lip on at an angle, I left mine at right angles.

The right angle allows me to pick up the unit, move it with the tine weight holding it fast to the bucket. A quick lift of the loader arms puts it in easy reach to attach the rachet straps.

I'm not sure what size. I would measure but the forks are at our other property at the moment. I just went to a local metal shop and picked out something "that looked about right"!

After a few months of abuse I have twisted the frame severely, bent the middle fork (it was slightly thinner tubing, all they had when I went to buy it), and yesterday I finally completely broke my left fork off!



When I get time I will rebuild them. This time I will make them about 10" shorter and possibly use four vs. three forks. I haven't decided on that yet... My frame will also be much stouter and be more of a box structure.
