\fiat 400V
Model Year: 1973
Made under license in Argentina, these 38hp Fiat tractors come in a number of variants. I have the 400V model which is slimmer to allow it to plough between vine rows. Spare parts are easily available over here in Argentina and despite comments to the opposite, these can be very hardworking and reliable machines. Mine is nearly 40 years old and has been used for all those 40 years. The 400V has a cat 1 three point mounting, PTO, differential lock, auto levelling on hydraulics and 12v electrics. Mine is 2WD and there is a 4WD version too. Further details: Weight: 4,079 lbs Wheelbase: 72 inches Length: 115 inches Manufacturer: Fiat Fuel: diesel Cylinders: 3 Bore/Stroke: 3.74x4.33 inches [95 x 110 mm] Displacement: 136.62 ci [2.2 L] Power: 38 hp [28.3 kW] Cooling: Water Rated RPMs: 2200 Gears: 6 forward and 2 reverse Water ballast in the rear wheels which can also be taken off and turned around to make it wider if needed. My 400V easily pulls a 12 disc plough through weed covered ground not turned for many years.
Pros: Ideal for vinyard work and small farm work.
Cons: Its old, the colour is 'unusual'.
