Love this tractor so far.

Pros: Easy shifting transmission. Strong front loader.
Cons: Rear is light. Will fill the rear tires with fluid soon.

Mahindra 5010 Gear Bang for Buck

2nd tractor, purchased a New Holland 3415 new in 99, and it served me well back out in the country with 20 acres, pasture, pond, some scattered trees. Mahindra has more HP, it is 4WD vs. 2WD of NH. It is heavier, the tires are better, it has a rear remote, dashboard like a car, and it cost just a bit more then my 1999 New Holland did! So far, so good, motor powerful and actually quiet after warm-up.

Pros: Value, weight, dealer support.
Cons: None so far.

Bang for the Buck

Formerly owned a 99 New Holland 48 hp. 2WD, which I purchased new and owned for 9 yrs. I purchased this 4WD heavier, more powerful tractor for approx. 1000 more. incredible value, quiet smooth 4 cyl diesel. Dealer in McKinney TX, Landmark was great and they have a number 1 service manager, Wes.

Pros: Power, weight, value.
Cons: None so far.

5010 Gear Nice

Purchased from New Holland Mahindra Cub dealer in McKinney TX. Good experience, replacing a New Holland 2WD 3415, 47hp which I bought new in 1999. No comparison. I didn't pay much more for this tractor then I did the 1999 New Holland 2WD, and I got so many more features and 4WD. Spread and box-bladed 50 tons of 2" rock on my driveway, this tractor appeared to yawn as if it was bored. Too soon to judge dependability, but it is heavy, powerful, quiet, smooth and appears to get good fuel mileage. Two thumbs way up.

Pros: Weight, power, features, price.
Cons: None so far.

I recently traded my 2525 4wd for the 5010-4wd. The ergonomics of this particular tractor seemed far superior to others that I had tried. The 2525 was just not large enough to handle cutting kudzu with my Bush hog. Will offer reviews of the 5010 once I have more time on it.

Pros: Ergonomics.
Cons: Rear fender flares are plastic.

What's Wrong With Front Wheels

I have had tractor for less then 2 years and front wheel housing bearings have failed and wheels fall off 4 times. Is there a lemon law on tractors?

Pros: Operator friendly.
Cons: Week front axles.

Sweet tractor
Model Year: 2014

Was using a John Deere 5400 with shuttle and loader. Just started using the new Mahindra 5010 gear today. I was worried about giving up shuttle and going to gear, but no worries now. This thing is geared so much better for work than the Deere was, it is the smoothest running and working tractor I have ever ran. The loader is awesome , its smooth and fast. The Mahindra actually handles the full loader better than the larger Deere does and yes both are 4wd. I am in awe of this little tractor. I hope it runs as long as John Deeres do, if so you can't find a better 50hp tractor. I know its early to review lots of things on this tractor, but so far it was a great decision. So glad I got this one instead of the 4035, was worried about not having shuttle , but took a chance on the gear to pay less and have another 10hp. Decision was right on, buy one you will love it. Mahindra 5010 gear , great tractor.
