Hi,

I have the L4330 and would like to understand the overall hydraulics of my tractor. My understanding is there are pre-plummed ports from the pump that may be used for custom remotes. I already have the TNT but will be adding a grappel this year and would like to know what the options are. I have been following other hydraulics threads and am beginning to understand all the required pieces.

What I want would be covered in the Service Manual but depending on who you check with it will cost $90 - $120 and take some time to get. If you have a service manual, please let me know the level of detail it covers wrt the hydraulics and if you feel it was a good investment.

Thanks,
Chuck

There are no extra pre-plumbed ports as you call them on the Grand L series Kubotas for custom ports. There is one hydraulic block that is used for the loader and one "special" port that is used for the factory remote stackable valves. There is no generic adapter plate for the "special" port. If you don't have factory remotes then you have to fab you own adapter plate in order to use this port for hydraulic valves. It has been done and someone a few years ago posted on how they machined the adapter plate.

Since you already have a TNT that implies that you have factory remotes. If you have a loader then you have used the factory hydraulic block for your loader. That leaves you with one option and that is to connect your aux hydraulic valve in series with the loader power beyond line and the loader hydraulic block. This is what WR Long and other manufacturers do for their third function solenoid valves that are used to control grapples.

The service workshop manual (WSM) is a good thing to have and well worth the $100 or so that it costs. Every owner who wants to work on their own tractor should have one.

Thanks Mad.

My salesman was visiting yesterday and mentioned that my tractor has an existing BH hydraulics port different from the rear remote "special" block. That's why I was asking the question in the first place - to find it if it exists. Any idea what he was referring to?

Thanks again,
Chuck

Depends on how they hooked it up. There is no standard factory way of doing it as some dealers do it one way and others do it another way. Usually the backhoe connections require a loop hose when the backhoe is not conencted which means all they did was just break the main circuit.

If a loop hose is not needed then it depends on how they broke the main circuit. Do you still have to make a hose connection somewhere or move a manual selector valve to activate the backhoe? In these cases it will depend on where they are connecting to the main circuit because most of the time the circuit is broken before the 3pt and the return from the backhoe valve goes right to tank. You loose the use of the 3pt which would do no good for an aux valve.

I have the service manual, which I think was a great investment ...and, I have the parts manual, as well, a good companion.

You didn't specify the transmission type, if you do, I can probably post the "wiring diagram" for you.

Hi folks new here, i have a kubota l1801dt tractor that needs all new hydraulic lines. Where can i find say an illustrated parts diagram. i would like to just remove all the lines and have them made, but it a garuantee i won't figure out the routing without a diagram.

Chuck, I have a BX; do most of my own maintenance and repair. The WSM is the best investment I made with my foray into the tractor world. Yes, they have schematic diagrams of all the systems as well as the repair/maintenance procedures. The Parts manual (which is another good investment) has exploded views of the assemblies and how they fit together. The $200 investment has saved me thousands in dealer shop labor costs. The dealers around here charge a minimum of $125/HR on the small stuff and $175 on excavators and other construction type equipment.
