Putting a pick-up bed on my F-550

Sounds like a fun project to say the least, in order to get it the way you want. I would think an aluminum flatbed with a dump would be too cool for it, but it isn't my truck, so I don't get a say.

Looks like you have the rigth plan going. when you rase the cab you might look into lowering the radeator and intercooler to keep it centered with the fan. You have a good truck going.........Larry

Thats the part thats gonna kick my fanny big time, I'm leaving in the morning to play with this on the weekend and J_J if your reading this ? Gimme a call and come on down and we can figure this all out together and maybe put a mower on the front or something

I'm eager to see and hear the results. Raising the cab just seems like a lot of work with a lot of things that could get in the way or go wrong. Keep us posted on how it goes. I hope that it's easier than it sounds.

Are you considering a hyd dump bed? I am watching for a good deal on
a 12V hyd power pack, so I can build a dump bed.

The cab doesn't look raised, wonder how they overcame the alignment issues? Guess, I'll have to read about it and find out.
