CK30, worklights & harnesses

I have a set of worklights I'm going to install on my CK30 and I'm looking for a place to tap into the wiring.

Anyone know what the white connector in this picture is used for? Amd just as important, what's on the other end? I haven't had time to really look it over to good yet but I noticed this connector and another one just like it on the other side.

That connector is for the back-up light, which you don't have. On the right side you'll find two wires with male/female "bullit" connectors (hot and ground), they are for the work light which is only "hot" when the key is on. The other connection I haven't checked.

By back up light do you mean a rear worklight? Or is it wired to come on when the machine is travelling only in reverse?

So the connector on the other side provides +12VDC and a ground? I have a couple nice Carling rocker switches (IP68) that I can mount in the dash plastic. Is there a connector located in the dash that is on the other end of these wires?

I guess I need an electrical diagram.

The back-up light is the "factory" installed one which is wired to a switch on the "forward/reverse" shuttle control lever (if gear drive). The wires on the right are wired to the fuse box which is hot when key is on. The Kioti work light has a "toggle" switch on the light for off/on.

Since the factory wiring schematic is in Digested Korean, it is probably best to use a 12 v test light to figure out your key on power sources and/or power on when lights on sources

The nice thing about symbols are they usually mean the same thing regardless of native tongue.

I'm hoping to avoid tracing each wire out (that I'm interested in) and having to tear into a harness. I had to do that on my previous tractor (grey Kubota) and cussed the whole time I did it.

Is there a service manual available and does it have the schematic in it? I'll have to shoot Jeff an email to find out.

Yes there is a service manual, yes it has a schematic, but that doesn't help you figure out where the connectors are.... just that they exist.

There is a 15amp fuse that is set aside for aux lighting, it powers a connector to the right of your rear hydraulic connectors, comes on when key is on.

Started installing the lights tonight (FINALLY!).

Just so you know I have a parts manual and shop manual lined up but they won't be here for a couple of days.

I ran into something interesting while testing the connectors at the rear of the machine. There are actually 4 drops there. Two have block style connectors but one of them only has one wire. It is located on the right side of the machine. I'm assuming this is for the worklight and it's the power lead? Does anyone know if the Kioti worklight grounds through the mechanical fastener (bolt) that attaches it to the tractor sheet metal?

The two wire connector is for the back up light as stated above. It's located on the left side of the machine (see picture above).

The other two drops are the cylindrical pin type. I got to thinking and maybe these are for ROPS mounted work lights? They are hot with the key on.

If anyone has a schematic scanned could you post it please? I'm an impatient SOB! I have digging to do and with the temps as warm as they have been in the evenings I'd like to take advantage of them.

Hey PAB-OH,

I found the same things on mine. I would like to know once you get it up and running the size of the lights you put on. Watts and Amps, and wire size and if you got them of the shelf at NAPA or similar. I was hoping to use some off the shelf off road lights I see at NAPA or even Wal-mart. But not sure on the sizing of the lights and gage on the wire that would be needed. I am not much on electronics. but I thought if its a 12volt system and a 15amp fuse, you can use up to 180watts of lights. or is my math all wrong ?
