Price Check What is a Good Price on a JD 665 Tiller

I am looking for a 665 JD tiller. I need something very heavy duty for the nursury. What is a good price. I have only been quoted one price, and the guy must be new because he told me it was 2950.00. That is list as far as I can tell. I am tax free, so please post any prices less any tax.

I am hoping to get one for 2600 but that might be pushing it. I think most dealers by me will have to order them.

Cannot comment on the JD 665, but, suggest you do a search on King Kutter II tillers. It may cut the price almost in half.

I have had a few cheaper tillers and I go through them in 2 years. I want to try the 665 or the ccm sr model. I put some serious hours on them.

Is that model number correct? I usually do price checking on machinefinder.com and I did not find a 665 tiller.

Yes 665 is the correct number. I have a 673 in my sights for 2800.00 right now...

ut as an FYI. The current dealer cost, with freight to Michigan is just over 2,500.00 for the 673. That is correct unless my dealer is showing me some other funky cost screen.

The 665 took a 300 dollar price increase, and the rest are supposed to follow suit when the suplly of cheaper ones runs out. My dealer bought 4 673's to save some money in the future.

Does the 673 have 4 or 6 tines/blades per rotor?

Retail is 3190.00. Good deal should be about 2675.00 with setup.

Have you looked at the Kuhn tillers at all? My dealer loves them and I am torn between the Kuhn 53/190 and the Deer 673...About the same price...

OK.... so, why not buy the 673?? Will your dealer sell you one for the price you were basically hoping to pay for the 665?
