Tractor
YM226D
Local here has a YM2210 2WD, Bush Hog, Scrape blade, overrun clutch and 4 new tires, asking $2000

I know that price it good, but he doesnt know the hours of the tractor (broke tach), he has owned it 5 years and said it does leak oil out some of the seals. It doesnt appear to be a recon as it is a bit rusted and just looks its age. If it is just the seals are these expensive repairs? at $2,000 I feel its a deal even if there was a some fix up required. He said he uses it and it runs good.

Opinion?

Well lets just say you bought it and had to put another 2 into it. Your still at 4000 which is a good buy. I don't see how you can go wrong if the motor is running. Is that what he started at? Heck he might take less than that.;)

Yea he started at 2,000 FIRM, told me to come and drive it. Just seems to good a price just has me curious as to why so cheap, then again it could be a great deal.

I paid 3,000 for a YM2001, but it was in excellent shape and only had 728hours on it and doesnt have a leak nowhere on it.

IMHO, $2000 for a tractor with powershift is a good deal. I would see which seals are leaking and then ask one of the dealers on here for prices to replace them before you make your decision.

Smoody,
I have had my 2210BD for 4 years now. It was not a recon tractor, and had only 410 hrs on it. I payed $5000 for it, and feel it was worth every penny. Other than fuel and oil changes, it has not cost me another cent. For $2000, even if it has problems, I'd say go for it. I had a YM135D before this tractor that also worked great with no trouble. I am sold on Yanmar. They are not the best kept secret they once were, and the prices reflect that, but still a great deal as far as I am concerned. Dave
