3-Point Hitch 4x20 Cab Damage - 3 point

I was at my JD dealer today and there was a 4720 cab in the shop. It had a number of issues including where the owner raised a 3 pt implement that impacted the cab in the middle. It did not break the window, but it did bend the cab and the window latch.

Has anybody else had a 3 pt issue on this model?

They did not know what was on the 3pt, but I would love to know.

It probably was not a standard 3pt attachment he had on. I can't think of any "normal" attachment that could do that. I assume he hit the cab just below the window. 3pt mounted backhoe with seat could be a possibility.

Yeah, I was wonder if maybe one of those 3 pt crane things or something. He does not have a backhoe. I hope to find out. The damage to the cab looked significant to me.

No, I forgot I had my phone with me. If it is still there next time I am up there, I will shoot some pics. it is dead in the middle above the 3 point into the lower bar of the cab where the window closes. I can't believe he didn't break the rear window.

Picked up some thing and the upper point was not pinned in all the way and it came back to the cab? Just a guess. Is this why you got a good price on this?? Backed up to hook up the spreader and missed the pin point and drove the engagement bar into the back?? Just thinking to the things i have tried but have not had success in putting something into the cab (yet). Did put the corner of the FEL into the barn, not paying attention to where the load was and backing up. Maybe when i have 1000's of hours on tractor like others here will not make those kinds of mistakes

I always seem to learn what not to do in a hurry it seems with a new piece of equipment. Hopefully there won't be that many on this new tractor - whenever I get it.

Maybe the person had the rear window open and backed into a horizontally positioned pipe?
