I have just bought this backhoe it is new but directly imported from china by the previous owner I have hooked it up to int 585 with pump of pto but it will not move a muscle! any thoughts does the system need bleeding?if so how

Depends on your piping arrangement.

I'm going to assume it has a selfcontained hydraulic tank. Make sure it's full. If this is the "First" time you've hooked it up and ran it, it will take a few minutes get the fluid through the whole system. I know when I got mine it did the same thing. I finally just sat there with the control in one position for minute or two till it moved, then I went to the next position.

After much head scratching I called an engineer out he has taken the pump away for testing no pressure in the system this is on a new machine!beware chinese Thanks for replies will post when pump tested

I have the same machine, but sold by someone else. I ended up purchasing the pump seperate. Before I hooked up the pump I took it and turned it manually to make sure there was pressure and suction. Also to make sure I knew what was the intake and what was the pressure side.

Once you get the pump figured out, make sure you have the tools to tighten all of the hose fittings on the hydraulics of the BH. I had some leaking and even had one seal I had to replace.

Last time I used it the pressure side of the pump came loose and I had to tighten it up. Allen wrenches. Haven't tried it again since because I need to make some mods to the lower mount points. The are not wide enough to fit my lower 3pt links without using a little persuasion (3lb sledge).

When it ran I liked it. A tad slow with the pump I have, but it worked pretty well. I need more seat time though.

Its new but had a previous owner. (( ???????????????? )) Wouldn't there be a bell ringing if the other owner never had it hooked up or got it to work? He must have had a use for it other wise why would he have purchased it. Better start chapter 2... sounds like there is more to the story.

Bradco might be a little more money but it is american made, built strong, and works very efficiently. The same reason I bought a Bear Cat chipper rather than the Chinese version. I hate fixing and remodeling a new machine like so many others have posted with their jimna brand.
