Slip Clutch Alert Feature on John Deere Balers

Has anybody added the slip clutch alert feature to your baler?

I had my pick up clutch get jammed (rock between the auger and the frame) and slipped it good. The mechanic at the dealer told me you get 3 slips then you replace it. Since I bought it used, I don't know what happened before. It started slipping again with a good windrow getting fed into it. So, I think it is toast. I am going to swap it out this weekend.

I was looking online and there is a slip clutch alert feature. Believe it or not, the slip clutch is loud, but it can be hard to hear with a cab. There is an option BE31161 that I can add to my baler to alert me on the control when either the main or pickup clutch is slipping. Has anybody else added this to their baler? It if is not too expensive, I might go ahead and add it.

Mine is a John Deere 467 Megawide Netwrap

JD has a cool feature that alerts you if the main clutch or the pickup clutch is slipping. I am going to check to see how much it costs.

I didn't know they had it on the 467 until I was looking at the repair manual on how to replace the pickup clutch which I am going to do this weekend.
