Kioti CK27 HST
Hi all,

Friday 8th I went to my local Kioti Dealer Proudfoot Motors in New Glasgow to check out the CK 27 he had in stock. He had both units there, the gear and HST version.

After two fun filled hours I bought the CK27 HST FEL with 2475 backhoe, a Buhler 60" finish mower, a 4' wide and 8' long harrow and additional a Honda powered Wallenstein WX540 wood splitter. All was delivered Thursday 14th.

Delivery was free and additional the 50 hour oil change and service is free as well. Dealer will come to my place free of charge, that is a 170km/105 mile drive for him. During the four year warranty period my Dealer will also come free of charge to my place to fix the unit or will tow the tractor to his workshop.

I'm more then happy with my new toy :D and the overall sales experience with my Kioti Dealer.

Welcome to the Pack!

I know you got a great tractor, but it sounds like you got a great dealer as well, that is very important. The KB2475 is the curved boom backhoe right? Let us know what you think about it. I know I have dug many a hole and some massive boulders with my little KB2365.

Congratulations, that's why I didn't see the 27 sitting there last weekend. Brock has been around a while and plans on being around for a while yet, so he knows how to treat a customer.:D

Hey there DMACE you seem to have a bit of experience digging rocks. I have a CK20HST with a Woods BH70X Backhoe I'm building a rock retaining wall and am wondering how big a rock I might be able to handle with this thing, I do have a thumb on it also.

Where did you get a thumb for your CK20? I've lifted large rocks by pinching them against the dipper and without full bucket it does nice wheelies.

Basically, the backhoe will pick up rocks larger than the front end loader can handle. Most of the larger rocks I dug up could not be lifted with the loader and had to be rolled into place. You should be able to dig up some huge boulders, much bigger then you will be able to get that thumb around.

In this picture I dug up and moved every rock in that pile with the little CK20 and KB2365. Some had to be rolled over or only lifted about 1ft off the ground so they must be over 1,000lbs a piece and about 3-4ft diameter. That is plenty big enough for a rock wall. ;)
