Hey Darin,

Nice work on the upgrade. Why the 4520 instead of another 4720 with a cab?? Is the extra couple HP not a big deal?? Did you get 3rd SCV, a diverter kit, or power beyond??

I finally started moving rounds off my GN last week with my 4720/400x/spear/Ballast box with gravel and fluid in tires. I figure they were about 1200lbs and I had no problem at all. I even did a little test to see if I could pick up and place bales off the second row of the GN, and I could. Had to be VERY careful, but it did it.

Wanted to say thanks to everyone that's offered advise over the past few months.

I think I could live with a 4320 to be honest for what I am doing. It was $1K to go from 4320 to 4520. 4520 to 4720 was $3500. I didn't think it was required.

yes on 3rd valve.
No on the divert and power beyond - I would never use them.

Good deal on the hay bales. THe 2nd row can be a tad scary at first but it does a good just. Just don't turn and back and the same time. Pick the bale up, back up, lower the bale then turn - it will be all good.

Parts are starting to arrive at the dealer. The tractor should be in from GA next week sometime. I doubt it will be ready next week, but maybe the week after.

Nuru,

I have an open station 4720, she's loud. My earplugs are a permanent fixture in the fender storage box!!

Thanks Darin. I didn't even consider anything but a 4720 and was just wondering if I could've got away with less. I was lucky enough to find mine used and close to home, so I jumped at it.

If you got a deal, don't worry about it.

After having had a 4720, I never used all the power. Not sure I could get it all to the ground unless it was a bit heavier. Saved $3K or so buying a 4520. I might have it this week, if not next week.
