One big difference is the PT-60 has high speed and the PT-60, PT-80 and PT-100 now have useable torque in high range.

i am breathing new life into this thread to see if anyone here has demo'd the new PT-100 Forestry Edition ( I dont mean the bolt on armor kit that is available for the PT) we have the RC100 with the forestry kit and our level of contentment with the machine has steadily fallen as of late due to excessive heat and difficulty accessing the machine for maint and service...

the Forestry Edition of the PT-100 can be seen on ASV Posi-Track Compact Track Loaders - The Clear Choice Over Skid Steers it appears to have a different body armor package and yet another attempt at a truly sealed and pressurized cab....any thoughts?

I have a friend of mine who owns one of the old RC100s that had the A/C condensor mounted in front of the radiator and cooler. He had lots of problems with over heating until he updated the location over the roof. he still had some problems with the radiator and cooler because he brush cuts low lying areas with bullrushes sometimes and the stuff is like cotton. He demoed the new PT100 forestry on Thursday and said the machine is the real deal. he told me that the machines reversible fan can be activated from inside the cab or it can operate on the automatic timer. He didn't have to get out to blow the radiator and cooler one time during the day and he usually has to do it manually with a portable compressor every hour or so with his current machine. he said the radiator was absolutely spotless at the end of his demo. He also told me that it was the coldest A/C cab he has ever been in and that it is impossible to run it on full cool for more than about 10 minutes (he said his forearms and hands started to hurt because they were so cold). He said a nice feature was that you could run the cab with full pressurization and still adjust the thermostat for the A/C temp and that the cab pressurization was amazing (night and day compared to the 297 CAT he demoed). He did most of the demo with his DAVCO but the dealer brought out ASVs Fecon that was made exclusively for the PT100. He tried it on timber up to 8" and said the machine and the mulcher work beautifully together. he said the two speed motor on the mulcher made a huge difference compared to his FAE mulching head. The machine runs at 3650psi at 40gpm. he is now waiting for a trade in value from the dealer for his RC100.

Finally a review of the new Forestry thanks, thats what I have been waiting to hear, now I need to decide if I want to branch out into this market.

My new PT-100 Forestry was delivered late this afternoon. I plan to spend a full day mowing the next couple of days and will write a review as soon as I can. This thing looks amazing! The interior is completely different and there were several external changes as well. I'm looking forward to a hard (comfy) day's work!

Compact1 , Your probably still playing but do'nt keep us in suspence any longer . I was quoted $118,000 for one yesterday . A mulcher is another 40+ . It seems a lot of money to spend , i wonder if it is possible to make some money with one after all the cost's ? My excavator is a dead loss , too many $ to shift it around , people just wont pay . How much fuel does it burn ? Is the pressurized cab as good as they say ? How noisy inside ? Thank's .

I wish I had some information to give you. My first day with a new machine and it poured down rain all day. The rain was so heavy we had severe flash flooding. I'll get some seat time in the near future and tell you all about it. I'll also take plenty of pictures.

I can already explain some of the difference inside the cabin: more room, cut away area for your feet, air conditioner vents over head, air conditioner controls over head, and no lap bar The door was redesigned and it feels as substantial as a safe's door.
