CK30 has it's limits.

The original owners of our home had one of those large 6ft satellite dish's. A subsequent owner turned the mounting post into a swing set. SWMBO decided that she wanted the 'swing' moved out of the side yard and into her garden. No problem... I though... just dig up the base, dig a hole in the garden, plant base... instant swing. When I got done digging around the base... I found it was 2.5ft in diameter and 4ft deep!!! I tried to lift it out... I could not budge it! Quick calculations show it weighs about 2700lbs!! No wonder I can't move it. I just cut the pole off, made a bigger hole and buried it.
Looks like I am going to be building a wooden swing now.

There was another pole bolted to the top of that one with a cross bar added across the top. This made it 'T' shaped, then the swings hung from the cross bar.

Are you trying to talk yourself into a DK40se with 2700lb lift capacity to full height so you can lift that thing and dump it over your fence into the neighbor's yard?

That is the first thing I thought of after I crunched the weight numbers. All you have done with your DK40. Neighbor has a big enough tractor so he could pick it up and give it back to me. I would have had him move it... but I just didn't want to deal with something that big... and if SWMBO ever wanted to move it again.. I didn't want to have to depend on him to move it. So I burried it and ordered some lumber to build a swing. I think a wood swing will look better anyway.

LOL. I too had a 6' satelite dish in my yard when I bought my house. Before I had my tractor, I wrapped a strap around the top of the pole and thought I would pull it out with my pickup. It just bent the pole until it touched the ground. The first day I had my backhoe, I went after the pole. After digging for an hour, I had exposed a 55 gallon drum filled with concrete with about a foot more concrete poured over the top. After messing with it for a while, I came to the conclusion to dig a bigger hole and bury it was my best (only) option.

I have a DK40se and am sorry I didn't get the DK55, but then if I had the 55 I'd want the 65 or 90.

Actually, I'm happy with the DK40 with my only complaint is that I can't really pull a 3 bottom plow.
