Been surfing this site for a bit. Good info. Thanks !!
I have a 50 acre hobby farm in the finger lake region of Western upstate NY. Looking for a 4wd, 50-60 hp tractor with front end loader. Just put a pond in. Have some clean up to do. I currently have a 1973 574 International, 2wd. I run a 6 ft. brush hog. Plan on doing a little hay and maybe pull a 2 bottom plow. Land is level, for the most part. I brush hog trails through my woods also for the kids and hunting season.
So, those are my needs. There are many choices out there. I've looked at most, but not a Kioti, yet.
I have a small dilemma. I purchased a new TC 35DA New Holland about a month ago. It's 4wd, Ind. tires, Super Steer,6 foot quick attach bucket, and 72 inch belly finish mower. It's a bit too big for my wife. It only has 9 hrs. on it..lol.., but it's a bit small on HP for what I need to do on the farm. It's also hydrostatic drive. I like gear drive for the field work.
Guess I'll either swap it or sell it outright. I'm sure outright would be much better, but timing is narrow for me. My home is 250 miles from the farm and have little time up there and need a new tractor very soon.
There is a local Mahindra dealer, Kioti and New Holland within a 20 mile radius of the farm.
I see a Mahindra dealer post here from Batavia, NY. That's only about 1 hr. from my farm. Maybe he'd be interested in my New Holland.
I know most manufacturers have issues. Looking for one with the fewest..lol.. I'm easy on my equipment and take real good care of it, so just looking for something that will be ready to rock when I pop in at the farm.
Any guess what the New Holland is worth??
How about a 1973 International 574 diesel with 4 new tires. One owner and freshly painted, 2wd?
Thanks in advance for any and all help.
