I do not wear my seat belt on my ROPS tractor and I doubt that 80% do:confused:. Cheers,
Mike

We all take whatever level of risk we fell is 'acceptable'.. however.. the seatbelt/rops issue.. I always wear mine if I'm inthe tractor seat and the tractor is on...

It's not that I'm afraid of being crushed byt he tractor.. it's that I'm afraid of being trapped there and slowly crushed ;)

Yeah. There was a news article a couple of years ago about some guy in Alaska working alone whose tractor had rolled and trapped him. He was alive long enough to have gotten out his Leatherman and tried to disassemble the tractor  to free himself. He failed.

I always wear my seatbelt but there was one specific time when I decided to take it off. I was traversing a 15 degree slope and had to drive right past, very close to, a big pile of stumps I had stacked. It occurred to me that if the tractor tipped right as I passed the stumps I could be impailed so I unlatched my seatbelt, tightened my sphincter and very slowly moved past the pile. Made it.:)

When you are tired, frustrated, and do that is when accidents happen.
I have been so tired that I staggered when I walked. When I notice that I am in that mode - I call it a day. That helps avoid accidents.

Kinda reminds me of plastic surgery - originally developed to help burn victims and such - now there for the rich. Just what we need - a super race of Hollywood, athletes, and Gov't issue. What happens to the middle class and the poor?

Not parnoid or conspiracy type - just ponder such things from time to time...:D

Dont worry... most rich people that use plastic surgery to alter their outer appearance, do this because of their inner unhappyness.... ;)

Statistics show that women with silicon breasts commit far more suicide than women with natural breasts...
You could blame it all on silicon, :p but my conclusion is: The reason that women want fake breasts, comes from the same corner as the reason why they commit suicide... Speaking of Darwin award ? ...just think about that... :)

Dogtired: You are working too hard. Here, we like to 'putz'. If start 'leaking', time for a break, getting bored, time to do something else. Works out much better for us and we get lots more done than 'working' with a better and safer attitude.:)
