Iseki & Co., Ltd. (井関農機株式会社, Iseki Nōki Kabushiki-Gaisha?) (TYO: 6310), based in Tokyo, Japan, manufactures a variety of machinery, components, and engines.

It was founded in 1926 as Iseki Farm Implement Trading Co. (井関農具商会, Iseki Nōgu Shōkai?) in Matsuyama, Ehime, Japan. It was incorporated in 1936 as Iseki & Co.

They began building tractors in 1961. Its tractors have been sold worldwide under various brands: AGCO, Bolens, Challenger, Massey Ferguson and White. Early Tong Yang or TYM tractors were based on Iseki's designs. Some models sold in Japan have been built by Landini of Italy and by Massey Ferguson in France.

Thanks for the welcome allenr. It's a great site.

I have a Iseki TA262 4x4 which has a hydrolics problem right now. Hopefully I can get this resolved on the weekend.

Hi Hard I'd like to say welcome also. I found your information interesting as well. I have 2 Iseki's, a TL2100 and a TL2900 and am interested in all things Iseki. I'm curious, is your tractor a gray market as we call them hear or was it directly marketed in your country. All Iseki's over here with thier own name on them are grays. Just wondering if thats the same for you guys. Gerry

Thanks case.

My tractor I suppose you would call it a gray. There is a company here in Perth which brings them in from Japan. I believe they are leased for a period of time by the farmers working on the rice farms over there, then get sold of. They are fully refurbished then shipped out to whatever country buys them.
Cheers
Paul

Paul, I didn't realize when I first welcomed you, that you are a fellow Aussie, in that case - an extra warm welcome!

Gerald, while there are grey imports of most brands in Australia, new Iseki's are also sold here.

They're distributed by Agco (for about the last 10 - 15 yrs) but are only up to about 50hp.

Prior to Agco I think Iseki had factory representation here and they went to about 110 hp.

I nearly bought a SX75 (hp) many years ago, at that time I was particularly impressed by the featherlight gearshift.

Hi Allen More interesting stuff, thanks. I am going tomorrow to have another look at a TA357 cab model. I looked at it before what I was scared off by the electronic 3pt hitch control. Plus it has some other issues, front axle mostly. I think I can get a good deal on it though and I'm fairly sure I can figure out the 3pt hitch. Gerry

Gentlemen. I have an Iseki TA 247 with the Electronic 3Pt Control. Many Knobs and Switches. I have some of it figured out but not enough. If not set properly, The 3 Pt will bob up and down at its discretion. One Knob controls how high it raises and lowers, One determines how fast it does that. The rest ( being in Japanese ) are difficult to figure out. I am told that the Electronic 3Pt is for a Tiller.. If you ever get it figured out Please do share.

Thanks.
MM

I have the same on mine. ( Electronic 3Pt Control ) When I bought the tractor from Tractorama in Welshpool, the salesman marked all of the dials and switch and told me not to use them... I guess he didn't know what they were for either.. Would love to know myself..

Yomax I bought the 357 with the electronic 3pt. I was able to get a operators manual with it that has several pages devoted to the 3pt control. Only trouble is its in Japanese. I'm hoping to find someone who can translate it for me. When I do, I'll post the results (could be a while before I get this done though). Gerry
