Why don't you put in about 200 Hr's of your own time and come up with a design...then post it in this forum so everyone can benefit and profit from your design.????

I would suggest to the moderators that this thread be DELETED!!!

Rivco,
Paul, AKA MadReferee, willingly offered his plans for free to all those that asked for them. He had at least three or four different ones he would send out if asked-but often they were offered by him personally.

Since his untimely death about two years ago, there are still request's for his free plans to be shared here on TBN. I think he would have wanted it that way.

Rivco - Normally I would agree with your comments. MadRef passed away a bit ago, and I think he would be flattered his designs are continuing to thrive and be passed around on the net! Several of his designs reside on TBN, where they are shared openly.

I have seen some of the Mad Refs Implements and everyone speaks kindly of him here. he must have been quite a gentleman and designer. From what I gather from threads, he past on alot of his designs and knowledge to other members here.

Personally I think we all search, look, and discuss designs for our personally builds on here. Mimicking, copying is the best form of flattery you could ever have. I hope when I past someone copies something I have done. If someone did it would put a smile on my face. I am pretty sure Mad Ref is smiling now too. ;)

I've read many posts on this forum and welding forums that were from Paul and his friends. He was always willing to share information, ideas, and yes even his plans. They were copywrited to prevent anyone from selling them but were free for the asking. I posted his set of plans to so that they could be used by anyone who required them. From what I've read of Paul he would want to continue to help even after his passing.

Those are an old revision of his plans.

Mad was pretty much a legend here. Always trying to help anyone he could and in a sincere, non-critical way. I had some personal help from him and like so many others miss him sorely!

I don't think these are the version of the plans that Mad Ref would want as his legacy. I used these plans and had failures of both forks and the hitch (before any body asks I can post pictures if anyone really wants to see them). The top plate is the weak link. I think I have seen some modifications on TBN for reinforcing the top plate. I think it would be nice to have a place to post plans like Mad Ref's so they might live on (their latest revision live on).
