Its nothing special. It works the same as a car clutch. When its pressed it disengages everything aft of the engine. (e.g.. the gearbox or HST, PTO, transmission etc.).

oh right, the pedal on the left, duh. that makes complete sense. hopefully i never have to ask any more about it!

just say'en i have a '92 B1750 HST that has to be close to Bobbys and mostly almost never use my clutch unless I'm on uneven ground and and the L/H or 2/4 wont go in easy...then I use it and have never replaced my clutch. We have like 2500hrs on it.

Anyway I happy to here he got a good deal on the fix.

thanks, i was curious. i have 1700 on mine and i rarely use it as well, was wondering if these were "maintenance items", looks like might not be.
